The working principle and troubleshooting of Sanhua electronic expansion valve


With the emergence of new refrigerants, more thermal expansion valves that can adapt to different charging methods and superheat settings are needed to meet the needs of different refrigerants, so electronic expansion valves have appeared. Sanhua electronic expansion valve can meet the application of different working fluids, and is suitable for inverter air conditioners and air conditioners in which one outdoor unit drives multiple indoor units. The Sanhua electronic expansion valve is controlled by an electronic circuit, that is, according to the detection and data collection of the overheated or inlet and outlet air temperature difference, the return air temperature and its set value, after processing by the single-chip microcomputer, it sends out instructions to control the opening of the electronic expansion valve to meet the requirements System load requirements.

Sanhua electronic expansion valve is mainly composed of two main components: valve body and stepping motor. The stepping motor is located on the upper part of the valve and is directly connected with the valve plate and the valve core assembly. The valve body is in the lower part of the valve, and the shell is a fully enclosed design. The stepper motor is directly connected to the valve body assembly, making the movement of the valve core more reliable and easy, without additional seals, bellows, diaphragms and other components that may have service life limitations and leakage effects. The thermal expansion valve is installed on the water inlet pipe of the evaporator, and its temperature sensing bulb is closely attached to the water outlet pipe of the evaporator. By detecting the heat of the gaseous refrigerant at the outlet of the evaporator, the flow rate of the liquid refrigerant flowing into the evaporator can be automatically adjusted. The thermal expansion valve is divided into two structures: internal balance type and external balance type . The external balance type is mainly used for long-coiled large-capacity evaporators.

If the coils of the electronic expansion valve of A and B units of one drive two units are incorrectly fixed or the control wires of the A and B units of the outdoor unit are connected reversely, it is necessary to confirm whether the coil is firmly fixed on the valve body during maintenance, and use a multimeter to measure the electronics. The resistance of the two common ends of the expansion valve coil and the corresponding two windings should be around 50 under normal conditions. When it is infinite, it will be open, and it should be replaced after hours. For electronic expansion valve coil short-circuit or open circuit faults, the electronic expansion valve should be reset when it is energized, and judge whether there is a problem with the valve needle by listening to the sound and vibration; for the valve needle stuck fault, the spool is generally open when the valve is stopped. Therefore, the coil lead is disconnected at this time, and then it starts to run. If the refrigerant cannot pass through at this time, the electronic expansion valve will be blocked. After the electronic expansion valve is damaged, the liquid supply of the refrigeration system will be out of control, resulting in a failure of poor cooling ( heating ) effect. At this time, ordinary expansion valve cannot be used instead, and the same type of Sanhua electronic expansion valve should be replaced to ensure the cooling ( heating ) performance of household air conditioners .
